About the event

Sacred Plants - Earthbound and Connected to Higher Realms, for healing bringing calm and relaxation,  inspiration and gratitude into our lives!

Why are plants seen as sacred? And how were they used?  Our Abbey is dedicated to Our Lady the Virgin Mary so let's discover  more about the plants used historically to symbolise her virtues. We'll be exploring the virtues of many beautiful herbs suchs as  Rose, Lily, Angelica, Bay, Sage, Juniper, used in centuries past by monastic communities such as Shaftesbury Abbey, for ritual and ceremony, for decoration, for purification, prayers and meditation.

Find out how can we use them today!
