About the event

Ancient communities were deeply connected to their plants right through the ages, through medieval history, up to the times when ‘Science’ took over. Plants were used in many sacred and symbolic ways for ritual, ceremony, praise, protection. Especially so in sacred sites, the monasteries, abbeys.

These traditions are still with us today! Join me to find out more…

· Plant symbolism - how we viewed these beautiful plants, how we understood their qualities, essences.

· How the sacred plants were used and are still used today.

· Rose, Lily … sacred Maryan plants celebrating Our Lady, Mother Mary, used for sacred ritual/ceremony.
